Bulwark Park: Councillor calls for action on safety

3.01.00pm BST (GMT +0100) Tue 21st Jun 2005

A Chepstow Town councillor has called upon Monmouth County Council to repair broken fencing along a busy road sited along a steep slope into Bulwark Park.

Cllr. Jane Robbins (Lib Dem, Larkfield) recently went to inspect the damage to fencing along Bulwark Road with local residents. She found fencing laying along footpaths and a general state of bad repair.

"The fencing is essential for safety of pedestrians along a very busy road and to have the whole length of fencing broken and lose is dangerous. Monmouthshire County Council has secured the lose fencing. I am seeking to have the fencing renewed and upgraded just as it has been on the opposite side of the road".
